“Once we were ready we headed over to Ray’s farm to be there by 9.00 am. Ray was nowhere to be found.”
This is a stopframe animation that we made as part of a Gold workshop.
We made plasticine letter moulds, and froze water into the letters. Then we photographed them melting, every 10 seconds, and animated the pics together on the computer.

Check out the pictures below and the best ones (in my opinion) are the ones of me reading the paper. That was so much hard work, standing still for so long.
On our first trip to Boree Creek, Rosie told us the story of the hottest day she could remember on the farm. In the next Gold workshop, we decided to make this shadow animation inspired by that story. Tara showed us how to make the images and project them onto the wall, while B showed us how to experiment with making the sound scapes.
